Studying for PSLE (please mark)

I completed my PSLE in 2006. I still can remember the hardship and pressure that I had to go through to do well in my PSLE and go to my draem school Victoria School. Maybe I should take it back.
I did not enjoy my life after the june holidays in 2006. My face was always mugged into a book everytime. I knew how important it was to do well in PSLE. My parents were also emphazing me too and showing my elder sister as an example who did well in her year. Obivously, I wanted to do well than my sister or if not I will lose to a girl. But it was not easy to win her, as her marks were 250!
I studied and revised everyday. I did not stop doing my homework and assessment books. I almost finished 9 of assesment books in just 3 months. I couldn't help stop studying. I decreased amount of time going out with my friends, playing games and going out to exercise. I had only 1 goal in mind, "to do well in my exam". I threw everything else in my mind like buying the latest ipod version or going to watch the latest movie.I concentrated only my studies. I do not like people to over emphazise on what I am doing or suspect me on doing something wrong when actually I wasn't. That is what happened one day while I was studying and my dad just came home from his hefty work place. He being very concerned of me told me to do more assessment books. That made me very pissed and I just cracked down there. I started shouting and yelling at everyone. I did not know what to do. I just sat in my desk. I tried to remmeber what I just did.

Thankfully, my parents did not scold me back. Instead, they took me out to enjoy myself which was relaxing and refreshing. They told me to set a timetable for myself and try to share my opinions with them. I spent my time wisely and carefully. I went out once a week and I played everyday to refresh myself. I found the best time for me to study and able to memorise methods. I am really grateful to my parents who did the right thing at the right time.

All paid off as I got 255 for my PSLE. I knew I could have done better but there was no point crying over the past. I got into Victoria School if not I do not need to write this blog entry right now! Think about the past, Live the present and Nurture the future!

What if the sewage pipe breaks in your office? (Please mark)

This incident took place in my mother's office a few days. It has never happened before and noone would expect it to happen especially when you are working! It was a fine evening... Everybody were doing their work while peering at the hour hand to reach six. My mother's office is directly below the officer's mass or also known as the canteen. Beside her office was her friend's room which was also directly below the canteen too.
The vendors in the canteen had cast away their waste products into the sewage pipe. Thus, they created a blockage in the pipeline. They immediately notified the plumbers to come down and resolve the problem. The plumbers came down just in time before the crisis could get any worse. But they did not know that it would get even worse... They scanned the area and deduced that it was blockage in the sewage line. So they used a pumper to pump the waste blocking the way but there were too many of them. After a while the plumber got tired and he asked hiw fellow man to help him out. Unfortunately, due to low experience in the post, the plumber pumped to the best of his effort. That caused a huger mess in the sewage pipe. He caused the sewage pipe to throw up at him and leak too. The sewage threw up all over his face. It started to leak in my mother's friend's room where the sewage pipe was linked to. He became aware of the leakage seconds later. He promtly went to the washroom to wash his arm where the leak had fell. It may have been luck, but as soon as he stepped out of his chair the whole pipe burst out and water gushed out of it. It spilled all over his work and stuff. He was lucky enough to escape with his clothes. But it was not the first time he escaped such an occurrence. It was his second time infact. The first time he dodged a heavy falling book by bending down to pick up something. Whatever it is I think that guy has lots of luck!

A trip to Kuantan, Malaysia (please mark)

I might have been to kUANTAN a couple of times but during the ocassion that I went with my school was truly fun, memorable and educative. I learned lots about their history and culture. My classmates; Fareez, Rakshit, Sidharth and Thishath came along with me. As far as I can recall I was really elated and eager to go on the trip with my friends.
As the departure day arrived, all of us were waiting in the foyer for our bus which took us all the way to Kuantan and back. Our teachers; Ms Raksha and Mr Ron introduced us to our tour guide Mdm Aisah who was from Malaysia. She was a very pleasant and patient lady.
At last we got onto the bus and were on our way to Kuantan. Before that we stopped at Lake Chini. It was a very rejuvenating. We took a boat ride to the home of the Orang Asli. A tribe which lives along the lake. They were not technologically advanced but were able to find a living by selling the herbs that they had bred there, they collected rubber from the trees and sell souvenirs to the visitors. They reared chicken too. For leisure they had satelite TV in their huts. I was amazed at that site. We had fun trying to blow a dart towards the target through their blowpipes. I failed terribly.
As soon as we got back to the hotel, we had fun fighting with each other. Then, we went to shopping mall that was near the hotel. We played the whole time at the arcade and bought food back to munch throughout the night.
The next day we went to a turtle sanctuary. I learned that turtles are very famous in Kuantan. There different types of turltes over there. There were really huge turltes and minute once too. There were turtles which have not hatch yet too. The owners took good care of the turtles. After that, we went to a shop where there were different types of handbag. I was dumbfounded. I wondered which school I came from for a moment. The handbags were hand-made by rattan. There were different shapes, colours and sizes. The place was vibrant with its colours. Henceforth, we went to Natural Batik Village where we saw and learnt how batik were made. It was not really a complicated process. Then, I realised that I was supposed to make batik by myself from which I realise that it was not easy to make a batik. They were made in differant colours which made it the Batik splendid. Moving on, we went to a waterfall at Kuantan. The place was magnificent. There were many people over there. We enjoyed ourselves over there.
We were very tired and could not wait to get back to the hotel. As we reached our room we went bath and slept as fast as we could.
The next day we went to Kuantan's vegetational and historical area where we took a tram around it and visited the history of Kuantan. It has indeed a rich history. I enriched myself with its history.
After that, we headed back to Singapore. No place like home. If you get a chance to go to Kuantan please visit these must see places. Got to go for now!
